Desires

It’s funny how just the other night Christina and I were watching a program on the SUV buying trend in the US. There was a psychologist on the program who consults for auto manufacturers that was talking about the “reptilian brain”.
This part of our subconscious is what drives us to these manly big cars and trucks that scream “I’m bigger than you!”.

Anyone who knows me could tell you how much I want a BMW 330ci (I really want a M3 but who can afford that). The desire is totally irrational, I have a car that is four years old, runs perfect, isn’t banged up, I own it completely. So I am trying to rationalize with myself why I shouldn’t get a new car. Christina wants me to get one, she’s really amazing like that in how she pushes me to get the things that I really want. So after our wedding… I buying a new car :-P

Speaking of desires, I really want a new PowerBook 12 inch laptop. Again, technically I already have a laptop that is perfectly good and I bought a year ago. It’s the sickness, it pumps thick in my veins.
