REDWOOD SHORES, Calif. (AP) — Business software company Oracle Corp. said Friday it bought Finland-based open-source software company Innobase OY Inc. for an undisclosed amount.
Oracle shares fell 4 cents to $11.99 in afternoon trading on the Nasdaq.
Innobase, founded in 1995, is the developer of a technology called InnoDB, which is distributed under an open-source license, Oracle said.

I think Oracle just figured out a way to slow down MySQL’s growth on the market.
